Adding MCP servers

Connect an MCP server and grant the right scopes.

An MCP server connects your assistant to an external tool or data source, such as a calendar, a code repository, or a database.

What you will need

  1. 1The server URL from the asset page.
  2. 2An account on the service it connects to.
  3. 3Permission to grant access.

Connect steps

  1. 1Open your assistant connectors or integrations settings.
  2. 2Add a custom connector and paste the server URL.
  3. 3Authenticate when prompted, signing in on the service own page.
  4. 4Grant only the scopes you need — read-only if you are just viewing.
  5. 5Confirm the connection shows as active.

Safety

Never paste tokens or passwords into the chat. Authenticate on the service own login page, and remove a connector when you are done if it had broad access.
