I lose half my week wrestling with inconsistent spreadsheets before I even get to the actual analysis — different date formats, duplicate rows, freeform text fields. I've tried a couple of AI-powered cleaning tools and the results are hit or miss, especially with client-specific naming conventions. What's actually worked for you, and how much do you still double-check the output before trusting it?

I had the same problem with client CSVs full of inconsistent formatting. I've been running a first pass through an AI cleaning tool and then spot-checking maybe 10% of rows against the original — catches most of the weird edge cases without costing me the whole afternoon. Still wouldn't trust it fully on anything with monetary values though.
