The prompt
Design a progression framework for {{competency}}:

1. Define 4-5 levels:
   - Level 1 (Emerging): Cannot yet perform; needs significant support
   - Level 2 (Developing): Partial success; inconsistent or with support
   - Level 3 (Proficient): Meets standard; independent performance
   - Level 4 (Advanced): Exceeds standard; nuanced, strategic
   - (Optional) Level 5 (Expert): Teaches others; innovates

2. For each level, provide:
   - Knowledge indicators: What must they know?
   - Performance indicators: What can they do/produce?
   - Common misconceptions or errors
   - Support/intervention needed
   - Evidence examples (product, behavior, artifact)

3. Progression pathways:
   - What is the typical learning sequence?
   - Are there prerequisite sub-skills?
   - Time estimates for each level (if applicable)

4. Formative check-in questions:
   - How will you quickly assess which level a student is at?
   - 2-3 diagnostic questions per level

5. Growth targets:
   - What does reasonable growth look like in a unit? A term?
   - For students not meeting standard: remediation plan
   - For students exceeding standard: extension/acceleration path

6. Rubric or proficiency scale:
   - Convert to simple 1-4 or 1-5 rubric
